DS, District
President along with CWC member met Sri. Ragavan, CGM, STR, Chennai on
21-12-2009 in Erode during his inspection visit to Erode. STR related
problems highlighted in the meeting. Emergency Circle
Office bearers’ meeting held at Chennai on 13-12-2009. Com. Eswaran, CWC
Member participated in the meeting. He
insisted Erode SSA’s main demands of Nullifying the punishment imposed
on two comrades and following uniform tender procedure for cable maintenance
throughout the Circle among other important issues. After persistent
efforts of us and Circle union, Com. Tamilmani, Com. Jayalakshmi, Com.
Thankharaju got officiating as DEs in addition to Com. Mahendran. They were
posted as AGM(NwPlg) CFA, DE(R) KYM, AGM(NwOps) CM, PRA and DE(R), BVN
respectively. On joining of Com Jayalakshmi as DE, KYM, present DE, KYM will
be transferred and posted as AGM (EB), Erode. SNEA, ERODE deeply
condoles the sudden demise of our beloved member Com. K.N. Ravindran Nair, DE
today morning at Kochi Hospital. We convey our condolences to his family
members. Discussion had
with DGM (CM) on 04-12-2008 highlighting some of the problems faced by the CM
wing. Discussion had
with DGM(CFA). He assured to take care of all the points. Points discussed. DE Officiating

Executives' Association writes to CMD, BSNL for the modification of
provisions of MT RR notified on 03.09.2009 which are discriminatory and
against natural justice. UF clearly told the Management that the notification
not only discriminates and denies the really meritorious, but is also
violative of the DOP & Trg guidelines and various Supreme Court Judgments
as it will lead to the creation of "a class with in a class". UF
demanded the internal fast track promotion is to be carried out without
discriminations of qualifications and age, otherwise we will be unwillingly
constrained to resort to all actions including agitational and legal actions
to ensure justice prevails. Attn:- It is
proposed to conduct District Executive committee meeting on 1630 hrs of 16-09-2009
at Telephone Bhavan to discuss about the recent CEC held at Coimbatore and
other important organizational matters. All Branch secretaries and District
office bearers are requested to attend without fail. Com
Shanmugasundaram got transfer from STP to Erode SSA and was posted in
Kodumudi. Com Sarojini transferred to Erode. Thanks to Circle association for
the transfer and relief of Shanmugasundaram. MT RECRUITMENT: MOST OF THE TALENTED AND EXPERIENCED EXECUTIVES
IN BSNL ARE DELIBERATELY BARRED IN THE NAME OF AGE & QUALIFICATION AS
DONE IN THE CASE OF DGM RECT. ASSOCIATION IS ALL ALONG PLEADING WITH THE
MANAGEMENT THAT AS PER DoP&T GUIDELINES THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY AGE /
QUALIFICATION BAR FOR THE INTERNAL CANDIDATES. WE ARE STRONGLY TAKING UP THE
WHOLE ISSUE WITH CMD/DIR(HRD), BSNL. ASSOCIATION (CHQ) WILL TAKE ALL STEPS
INCLUDING ORGANISATIONAL AND LEGAL ACTION FOR SETTLING THIS ISSUE. New Perks and

already noticed errors were pointed to the Administration. All BSs kindly
circulate the list and find out omissions, if any. CEC, Coimbatore
has put so much light on various issues. CGMT, GS, Com W. Seshagiri Rao, PGM,
Coimbatore addressed Open Session. Lot of people from Erode participated but
it is less than what we expected. 1. DOT has
forwarded the Govt of India’s order to BSNL for disbursement of 60% arrears. 2. Bonus may be Rs
3,500/- for non-executives and Rs 5,000/- for executives. 3. Pay fixation
problem of JTOs after 1-1-2007. is to be referred to Dept of Personnel as DOT
has no powers to revise the orders of GOI. – Spelt out by GS and CHQ office
bearers. 4. CMD has taken
initiative to get back the landlines and other connections obtained by
Southern Railways from a Private Operator. 5. Restructuring
i.e., redeployment of staff is imminent-Spelt out by CGMT. 6. Financial
position of BSNL is very much deploarable. 7. Work Culture
should be improved. These are some important points stressed by CGM and PGM. Revised Medical
allowance for outdoor treatment in the new pay scale approved by BSNL Board. <<<>>> A delegation

website. We met GM, Erode and discussed the new
procedure of Cable maintenance and submitted a letter highlighting the field
unit problems. Letter Information received from
almost all the branches that the demonstration called by Joint Forum
conducted successfully in all the branches of Erode SSA. Congrats to all the

issue of implementation of new procedure of cable maintenance work with

JULY to be treated as Protest day against proposed IPO and other issues. It
is decided to hold lunch/closing hour demonstrations at Branch level to be
decided in consultation with fellow unions. Telegram to be sent to Hon’ble
Prime Minister and Communications Minister highlighting the issues. Content

Retirement farewell party to Com V.Ponnusamy to be held this

anomaly of JTOs joined after 01-01-2007. Letter GS writes to Dir (HRD) regarding pay anomaly of JTOs recruited
against 2005 joined after 1-1-2007. On settlement of this JTOs who joined
after 1-1-2007 may get 30% fitment. Executive committee meeting reiterated all the members to
contribute the prescribed amount towards Retirement party without fail so as
to conduct the parties in future without any hitch. SNEA, Erode Web site launched on 08-07-2009 in the Executive
committee meeting. Com.S.Kumar, AGM (OP&CP) opted for VRS and Retirement Party
held at Hotel Chimney on 30-06-2009. CWC held on 26th and 27th at Shillong. Request Transfer orders and Rotational transfer orders issued in the
cadre of JTO, SDE and DE. Retirement Party to Com.M.Jeeva, JTO (Dotsoft) held at Hotel
Chimney on 30-05-2009. Around 130 SNEA members and Senior officers of Erode
SSA participated and felicitated the retiring member. Seven JTO Comrades of our SSA has promoted to SDE cadre and
allotted to Tamilnadu Circle and then to Erode SSA. Congratulations to
them.
